1. Shampoo extension hairstyles st least twice a week, reducing natural oil build-up at the root area.
2. Whilst shampooing the head should be upright. Standing in a shower is an ideal position. The hair and water should flow in a vertical direction. The water temperature should be warm.
3. Use a recommended extension shampoo, using your fingertips gently stroke the shampoo into the hair from the roots to the tips. DO NOT RUB OR MASSAGE THE EXTENSIONS WHEN WET.
4. Apply a recommended extension conditioner to the MID-LENGTHS AND ENDS ONLY avoiding contact with the root areas and bonds. Rinse thoroughly.
5. Separate extensions at the root area before drying and dry with a warm hairdryer. After drying the root area comb gently with a very wide toothed comb working your way from the tips through to the roots. Always hold the hair at the roots whilst brushing and combing to avoid placing unnecessary tension on the bonds and root area.
6. Always avoid the bonded area when using heated tools i.e.straightners/rollers as direct heat may soften the bonds.
7. Do not backcomb the hair extensions as this will cause irreparable damage.
8. Do not use products that contain oils, wax, silicone, fruit acids or exessive alcohol on the root area as these will breakdown the extension bonds.
9. Hair must be tied back before going to bed. NEVER GO TO BED WITH DAMP OR WET HAIR AS MATTING AND TANGLING WILL OCCUR.
10. Chlorinated pools, jacuzzis, saunas and ocean water may cause irreparable damage to human hair extensions.
HAIR EXTENSIONS MUST BE REMOVED AT LEAST EVERY 3 MONTHS AND SHOULD BE REMOVED AND REPLACED IF REQUIRED BY A QUALIFIED HAIR EXTENSIONIST
